Cancer Connections : help, support,advice and information for South Tyneside, North East.

Michelle Grimmer, a regular supporter of Cancer Connections, has learned from her own experience of the skin cancer malignant melanoma. Michelle has been awarded a grant to visit schools in South Tyneside to teach children and students about the dangers of sunburn and tanning machines.

Following the old advice from Down Under to “Slip on a T-shirt, Slap on a hat and Slop on the sun cream” if you are out in the sun, Michelle hopes that Tynesiders will learn from her experience and welcome the governments advise to avoid tanning machines.
